Events at the 2010 All Pet Festival

This year we have even more exciting demonstrations, activities, events, and things to do for both kids and adults than we've ever had before. 

 

Saturday, Oct. 16th – On the Main stage:

10:30                                         Police K9 Demonstration

Members of the Manchester Police force demonstrate and talk about their K-9 partners: the important duties, outstanding training, clear protectiveness, and outstanding temperament of the well-trained dogs that help them catch criminals.

1:30                                          Dancing with Dogs with Canine Capers

If you like “Dancing with the Stars” then you’ll love the All Pet Festival’s “Dancing with the Dogs.” This musical freestyle dog sport combines obedience and tricks into creative choreographed routines set to music.  Often amusing, always entertaining, come and see some of the area’s top woofers and their partners

On the hour both days starting at: 11:00 Saturday and 12:00 Sunday


Dog Agility- by the All Dogs Sports Teams & Students

An exciting dog sport that involves an obstacle course of jumps, tunnels, a see-saw and more. Dogs race through the agility course under the direction and control of their human partner.  A terrific outlet for a dog’s energy as human and dog enjoy their bond, working together. 

Oct 16th and 17th – Kids Activities!

  • Pony Rides 
  • Hands–on petting opportunities!
  • Face Painting
  • Scoop – The giant, inflatable dog!

Oct 16th and 17th – More activities and fun

  • Making an appearance at the 2010 All Pet Festival is the New Hampshire state dog, the Chinook. Presented by Chinooks New England, an organization devoted to the Chinooks, get to know this non-aggressive and family oriented breed of dog. Although fewer than 1,000 Chinooks exist in the world, show visitors can see and get know them at the Festival.

  • See the mini donkey divas of Against The Wind Farm!

  • Want to meet some alpacas in person?  Clark Summit Alpacas will be there with a couple of their alpacas, their fun new game, Alpaca-opoly, and some great items made with alpaca fleece. Roving and alpaca yarn will also be available for hand-spinners and knitters.

  • Shoppers will find the All Pet Festival to be a pet lovers paradise. From the latest in pet products, pet foods and pet-related services to unique and one-of-a-kind arts & crafts, perfect for your pets and pet-loving friends.

  • Animal groups, breeders, suppliers, clubs, veterinarians, animal care professionals and others will also be available to answer pet related questions and provide information. 

  • A special display by Critters’ N Creatures of Merrimack showcases some uncommon pets. Not your usual fare, you’ll get a look at like an American alligator, a blue tongue skink, a scorpion, a chinchilla, hedgehogs and a tortoise. Also making an appearance are a hairless cavy, bearded dragon, Fantasy frog, and a marbled polecat.
